Lardi in the Reed-Custer Spotlight for January

The Reed-Custer High School Senior Spotlight winner for the month of January is Isabella Lardi.
Isabella is the daughter of Amanda Persic and Anthony Lardi.
During her high school career, Isabella was involved in Recycling Club, Science Club, Sign Language Club, Movie Club, Math Team, FCCLA, Theater Build Crew, National Honor Society and Student Council. She was also a Speech Team member and captain, the World Culture Club President, Science Department Student of the Month, the Spring Musical Stage Manager, a class officer, an IT Intern, and an Illinois State Scholar.
Her future plans are to attend JJC to study either horticulture or agriculture. More than anything, she plans to prioritize world travel and education through exploration.
Here are a few thoughts from Isabella’s teachers:
Mrs. Leveille is “thrilled that Bella is getting recognized. I had her in our Honors Biology class when she was a freshman and she has been a part of the recycling club since then also!! Bella is not only a great student, but a caring, and thoughtful human being. She has a positive influence on classmates and is always willing to help out. She gives 110% to whatever she puts her mind to.”
Mrs. McGarey appreciates that Isabella “has been on the Scholastic Bowl team for 4 years. She may be quiet, but she has a strength about her that most do not notice. I appreciate that she is always willing to try. She will go far in life!”
Mrs. Kelaiditis says that Isabella “is a hard-working and motivated student who works hard to achieve her goals. I have no doubt that her drive will take her to all the places she wants to go.”
Mr. Swanson believes that Isabella “is an amazing student and an even better person. She is one of the smartest and most reliable people I have ever had the joy to teach.”
Mrs. Lee thinks that Isabella “is a very dedicated, hard-working student. She’s extremely helpful to her peers and is a very kind young adult!”
Mrs. Bugg remembers that “in Health class as a freshman, Isabella was a quiet leader who was a great student and was always willing to help out. She will do great things in life!”
Mr. Horton says that Isabella “knows who she is. She is honest and original. Much of her effort is given without an audience present, making her a person of conviction. She will become whoever she sets out to be. Her moral compass works well.”
As a final thought, Isabella’s advice to younger students is, “As Charlie Rich once sang, ‘Just keep on rollin’ with the flow.’”
On behalf of the teachers and staff at RCHS, congrations Isabella Lardi, the January winner of the Senior Spotlight.
