COAL CITY—Mary Ellen Hildy, 75, of Coal City, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at her home.
Born Aug. 3, 1949, in Morris, Mary Ellen was a daughter to the late John and Jane (nee Peterson) Cheshareck. She graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1967. On April 12, 1969, she married Clyde Hildy Jr. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, where she was a member. They were married for 44 years and raised two children, John and Jamie. She worked as a phone operator for Illinois Bell for 28 years.

COUNTRYSIDE, IL—Scott W. Walker, 68, of Countryside, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at Adventist University of Chicago LaGrange Hospital.
Born on March 27, 1956, in Woodstock, IL, Scott William Walker was a son of Perry and Doris (Freund) Walker. He was raised in McHenry, IL, where he graduated from McHenry Community High School.

WILMINGTON—Mary Bigham, 102, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025 at her residence.
Born Jan. 9, 1923 in Pickneyville, IL, Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of Mesh and Ann (Stern) Hale. She was raised in Pickneyville and later married Elvis Roston Bigham in Cape Girardeau, MO during the summer of 1940. Mary and Elvis later relocated to Wilmington where they raised her family. She worked independently as a hairdresser and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON—Phyllis Haldorson, 94, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025 at Aperion Care of Wilmington with her daughter at her side.
Born on Oct. 4, 1930, in Bedford, IN, Phyllis was the beloved daughter of Jasper Otto and Agnes (Warren) Hannum. She was raised in Wilmington and attended the Braidwood schools before embarking on a life filled with love, hard work, and selfless devotion to others.
