BRAIDWOOD— Herman F. Bormet 90, of Braidwood, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026 at his home. Born March 22, 1935 in Homer Glen Twp., IL to the late Edwin and Martha (nee Bethel) Bormet, Sr. Herman married Joan Blecka on Aug. 11, 1956. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood and also the Braidwood Recreation Club. He enjoyed driving his golf cart, riding his bicycle, and loved natures beauty.

MORRIS— Raymond Edward Testin, passed away at the age of 93, Friday evening, Jan. 9, 2026, at Serenity Estates in Morris. Raymond was born in Minooka, IL, on Oct. 14, 1932, a son of the late Frances (Baltz) and Lawrence Testin. He attended Jones Grade School in Minooka and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School with the class of 1950.

KANKAKEE— Nicole J. “Nikki” Deuschle, 82, of Kankakee passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born Jan. 1, 1944 in Joliet, the daughter of Roy & Marguerite (Schutten) Robertson. Nicole married Richard Deuschle on May 14, 1977 in Wilmington. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2001.

DIAMOND—Elizabeth "Betty" Watson, 83, of Diamond, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
Born March 24, 1942 in Morris, Betty was a daughter of John and Louise (Jacklich) Doyle. She was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School. On Dec. 26, 1959, Betty married Dennis Watson Sr. at Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City.

WILMINGTON— Vera A. Habing, 93 of Wilmington, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 at Serenity Estates in Morris.
Born Sept. 13, 1932 in Coal City, Vera was the daughter of Raymond and Elva (Ulivi) Roach. She was raised in Symerton, IL and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1950. On May 17, 1952, Vera married Ronald Patrick Habing at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and together they made their home and raised their family in Wilmington.

WILMINGTON—Randall Daniels, 65, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025 at University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago.
Born Sept. 20, 1960 in Fairfield, IL, Randall Eugene was a son of Glen Earl and Peggy Joyce (Bruce) Daniels. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1978. Randy worked as a maintenance mechanic for AkzoNobel Chemical Company for 35 years and later retired from INEOS Styrolution in Channahon.

COAL CITY—Alan J. Sula, 86, of Coal City, is at rest, Dec. 17, 2025. He was born to Jerome and Marie (Kessler) Sula in Chicago. Alan was raised in Cicero, IL and graduated from Morton High School in Cicero. He met his wife, Sherry in 1959 and they married in 1961. Together they had two children, Terri and Dean, both currently residing in Goose Lake.
