Illinois educators told to get vaccinated

The statewide mask mandate indoors is back, and educators and health care professionals will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Gov. JB Pritzker announced the new mandates on Aug. 26, amid an ongoing surge in the pandemic that first led to stay-at-home orders and other mitigations in March 2020.

The indoor masking order went into effect on Monday.

Meet the new teachers at Reed-Custer School District

Classrooms are prepped, backpacks are packed and school is back in session for the 2019-2020 school year.
Six new teachers are joining the Reed-Custer community this fall, bringing with them a range of experience and strengths.
Some of the teachers have taught different grade levels at Reed-Custer schools previously or started during the middle of the school year, while others are completely new to the district.
