The city of Wilmington is continuing work to close the gap on how much money water customers owe due to late or non-payment of bills
Last month, the members of the finance committee reviewed the status of the city’s utility billing, including a rundown of payments owed to the city.
In November, the city sent a total of 2,389 water bills out to customers, totaling $357,145 in payments due.
As of November, $126,771 worth of payments were late. However, nearly $41,000 of those bills owed have scheduled payment plans with the city.
