After a bit of a delay, the city of Wilmington is finally getting on with its road projects funded by motor fuel tax (MFT) funds.
On Sept. 8, the members of the city’s Water, Sewer, Streets and Alleys committee voted to pass the contracts along to the full city council for approval, awarding the MFT projects to Austin Tyler of Elwood, for a total cost of $217,446.
Austin Tyler was the lowest of four bids that the city received in late August.
Now, the only thing that could stand in the way of finishing up the project in a timely manner is the change of seasons.
