A Romeoville man agreed to a plea deal that will find him spending the next few years behind bars.
Walter L. Webster was sentenced to 16 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for shooting his former employer during a dispute in a parking lot along First Avenue in Coal City.
The 30-year-old appeared in Grundy County Circuit Court on Thursday, April 13, where he entered a guilty plea to an amended charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He had been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
