It has become a tradition in Betsy Cowherd’s class to construct gingerbread houses during the holiday season. This year’s build proved to be a sweet start to winter break.
As the Coal City Intermediate School fourth graders prepared to close out the first semester of the school year and head home for a full two-week break, Cowherd led the class in a construction lesson. They built their homes with graham crackers and frosting with the strength of super glue.
