Wildcat golfers start season with a tie

    The Wilmington varsity golf team wound up in a 194 to 194 tie with Manteno during their first match of the season, as they hosted the Panthers at High Point Golf Course in Essex on Monday.
    Ryan Woodall and Garrett Roth  wound up with the best scores for Wilmington, as they both recorded 43’s on their round.
    Tyler Long and Nolan Smith followed with 52 and 56, respectively, while Jake Radar rounded out the top five with a 64 on the day.
    Wilmington will be back in action on Tuesday, when they travel to Cedardell Golf Course for a conference triangular meet against Streator and Plano.
