Trick or treating started early in Braidwood this past SAturday, with a special Trunk or Treat event at the Fossile Ridge Public Lobrary.

Hundreds of trick-or-treaters got an early jump on the Halloween fun by participating in the event, sponsored by the Braidwood Lions Club and Fossil Ridge Public Library District.

Families wound their way through the entrance at Reed-Custer Elementary School, stopping to collect goodies from participants including the Braidwood Fire Protection District, the Braidwood Police Department, The Braidwood Area Healthy Community Coalition, Exelon’s Braidwood Station, the Reed-Custer Comets, and others.

After the trunk or treat line was completed, the children were invited into the library for a pumpkin painting craft.
