Puzzle Hustle is back

After a short break the Puzzle Hustle 5K Run and Fun Walk is back.
The run/walk to benefit Hope Helps took a little break to provide organizers time to finish work on the organization's all-inclusive playground in Coal City, but with new projects on the horizon the non-profit autism awareness group is ready to run again and it’s encouraging area residents to register for this year's event.
As in the past the run will take place at Coal City Area Club. Runners will start out on the course at 9 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 21. This is a timed race with awards going to the top three male and female finishers in a variety of age categories. Walkers and children will head out on the course at 9:30 a.m.
Organizers encourage participants to dress up. Prizes will go to the top three costumes, with bonus points being awarded to those who incorporate puzzle pieces into their running and walking attire.
Pre-registration is required and can be completed by locating the form available at www.facebook.com/HopeHelps. The cost to participate is $25 per adult and $15 per child. Registration includes an event T-shirt and goodie bags. Organizers note strollers and wagons are welcome.
In addition to the race the event will include a vendor market, face painting, balloon animals, music and on-site photography.
Proceeds from the race benefit Hope Helps achieve its goals of brining awareness to autism and providing assistance to families living with autism.
