Born May 26, 1938 in Morris, Dolores Eleanor was a daughter of Gerald and Evelyn (Maier) Misener. She was raised and educated in Morris; graduated from St. Angela Academy, and went on to attend St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in LaSalle. On Sept. 5, 1959, Dolores married Arvid Maurice “Maurie” Johnson in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Seneca. Dolores loved nothing more than the time spent with her family. Whether it be gatherings for the holidays, going on family vacations, or playing a heated game of canasta, Dolores especially cherished time spent with those near and dear to her heart. A great collector, she enjoyed antiquing and flea markets, often times adding to her collection of salt and pepper shakers, Precious Moments, and spoons. Dolores shared in wonderful memories of traveling to Hawaii with Maurie, and looked forward to the annual trips to the Covered Bridge Festival with their great friends. Dedicated to her family and blessed with an abundant life, Dolores “Boo” Johnson leaves behind many treasured memories for her family to enjoy forever. May they always remember her warm and nurturing ways as well as her wonderful guidance to comfort them in the years to come.
