Constance Storm

GARDNER—Constance "Connie" Rena Storm (née Ferrari), 90, of Gardner, passed away May 30, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was reunited with her late husband, Robert, whom she missed dearly.
Connie was born Feb. 16, 1936, to Fred and Angela Ferrari. She was born and raised at the family home in East Brooklyn, IL. She graduated Gardner-South Wilmington High School class of 1954.
She married Robert Storm on Oct. 16, 1954. They enjoyed 60 years together until his passing in 2015. She worked at U.S. Rubber for a while, then started raising a family. When the kids were a little older, she went to work at Fox Center in Dwight for several years and then retired.
She enjoyed family outings, fishing, cookouts, and special trips. She was lucky when she would buy raffle tickets and scratch-offs. She was an avid bingo player, frequenting bingo halls and bingo stands at carnivals. You could always tell how many times she would bingo at carnivals by seeing how many new lawn chairs Dad would be putting into the trunk of the car at the end of the night.
She tried her hand at several different hobbies: crocheting, embroidery, canning (her pickled green peppers were the best!), and ceramics. She made each of us kids a large ceramic tree with lights, which we still display each year. Now, going forward, it will hold an even deeper meaning and memory.
She is survived by her three children: Robbyn (Keith) West, of Dwight; Robert (Letitia) Storm Jr., of Dwight and Rhonda (Tom) Favero, of Braceville; seven grandchildren: Shawn (Shelly) West, Sarah (Anthony Scheel) Storm, Heather (Andy Stecher) Storm, Amelia Storm, Brandon Arnold, Angela (Keven Raulerson) Mendez, and Jordan Favero; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her dearest best friend for almost 50 years, Sandy McKinley and another best friend, Jean Thorson.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Storm; her mom and dad, Fred and Angela Ferrari; her sister, Doris Payne; her grandson, Jeremy West; her very special aunt and uncle, Helen and Virgil Dryer; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Per Connie's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private inurnment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Braidwood at a later date.
Memorial gifts in her name may be directed to Gardner Ambulance Service or Lightways Hospice of Joliet.
