Marcella Maly
MANHATTAN, KS— Marcella Vivan (Kelly) Maly, 92, of Manhattan, KS and formerly of Braidwood, passed away on Jan. 28, 2026, at the Ascencion Via Christi Village in Manhattan. She was born on Sept. 19, 1933, in Morris, the daughter of John and Vivian Kelly. Survivors include her children: Debra Emery, of Fort Smith, AR; Karen Swyndro, of Coal City and Michelle (Thomas) Musser, of Manhattan, KS; Grandchildren: Heidi (Wayne) Bulthuis of Coal City; Stephanie Ruberto, of Fort Smith; and Matthew Musser, of Manhattan; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and her special friend, Pamela Schlodder. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son-in-law, Daniel Swyndro; granddaughter, Aimee Swyndro; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Swyndro and brother, David (Ronnie) Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, KS and Marcella was privately laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Braidwood, along side her husband, granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Local arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Reeves, Fruland & Baskerville Funeral Homes.
