Donald Henke

TENNESSEE—Donald Lee Henke, 81, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Aug. 23, 2019 in Tennessee where he has resided since retiring from Caterpillar Tractor in Joliet in 1990.
Born April 29, 1938, he was the son of Annabelle (Hutton) and Leroy Henke. He loved skeet shooting and participating in turkey shoots, as well as watching auto racing and dog and horse track racing. He was also an avid deer hunter and enjoyed bingo.
Survivors include brothers: Lee, Rob and Jerry; sister, Pat (Dooley) and children: Greg Sr, Cathleen Doolin and Vicki Henke and step-children, Toni Collins and Susan Decker and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by daughter, Carrie; his wife, Helen, and brother, Jim.
Per Don's wishes cremation rights are being accorded.
A memorial luncheon will be held at the Loyal Order of Moose in Wilmington at 32050 W. River Rd. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6, 2019 where casual attire is fine.
