WILMINGTON—John P. Marshall, 81, of Wilmington, and formerly of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born May 18, 1943, in Chicago, John Patrick was a son to John and Sophie (Strzemp) Marshall. He was raised and educated in Chicago and went on to honorably serve in the United States Army. John worked as a surveyor with Local 130 until retirement. He enjoyed photography, music, and collecting coins, rocks, gemstones, and fossils.

MORRIS—Lois A. Newell, 92, of Morris, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at Serenity Care in Morris.
Born May 3, 1932 in Deer Park, IL, Los Arlene was the daughter of Sigurd and Delia (Voll) Ostby. She was raised and educated in Serena, IL where she graduated from high school with the class of 1950. On June 28, 1960 Lois married Elmer Newell in Morris where together they built their home and raised their family.

MORRIS—Mildred "Millie" Margaret Dyer (née Weitz), 83, of Morris, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 19, 2025 at Arcadia Nursing Home.
Born July 31, 1941, in Morris, Millie was the daughter of Herb and Genevieve “Toots” Weitz. She was a graduate of Morris Community High School with the class of 1959. She went on to further her education at Illinois State University, graduating in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in education.

COAL CITY—Robert Joseph Walsh, 72, of Coal City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at his home.
Born Oct. 26, 1952, in Joliet, Bob was the son of Kenneth and Elsie (Unger) Walsh. He was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1970. On June 24, 1978, he married the love of his life, Susan at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Coal City, and together they shared 46 years of marriage.

WILMINGTON—Gregory G. Fisher, 75, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025 at OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton, IL.
Born on June 24, 1949, in St. Paul, MN, Greg was a son of George Harrison and Janet (Dike) Fisher. He spent his early years in Ivanhoe, MN, before moving with his family to Fort Madison, IA, in 1963. There, Greg graduated from Aquinas High School.

WILMINGTON—Peter F. Runions Sr., 72, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born March 6, 1952 in Chicago, Peter Francis was a son of Charles Sr. and Agnes (McCue) Runions. He was raised in Chicago and graduated from Fanger High School with the class of 1970. Pete enlisted in the United States Army and was proud to be a member of the 5th Airborne Special Forces Group. During his military service, he was a tunnel rat and even acted as the personal driver to General William Westmoreland.

Shane Pampuch

DIAMOND—Shane James Pampuch, 56, of Diamond, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Born on July 1, 1968 in Joliet, he was the son of James and Judith (nee Moats) Pampuch. On March 27, 1993, he married Lynn Cromp at the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood and together they built a life revolving around their love of each other and their family. He was a laborer for nearly 27 years at Ardex Americas in Bourbonnais and was also employed at Berkots in Wilmington as a stocker.
