COAL CITY—Eugene P. “Gino” Bianchetta, 83, of Coal City, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

COAL CITY—Patricia McLuckie, 83, of Coal City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center in Aurora with her daughter by her side.
Born Oct. 21, 1941, in Chicago, Patricia Irene was the daughter of Robert Henry and Jewell Beatrice (Austin) Igel. She was raised in Chicago, where she completed her education and graduated from high school. Patricia built a dedicated career in secretarial services and retired from Diageo North America, formerly Gordon Spirits.

STREATOR—Aliene Daugherty, 77 of Streator, IL, formerly of Wilmington, and Braidwood, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on Aug. 8, 1948, in Silverton, OR, Ailene Louise was the beloved daughter of Amos and Martha (Leatherman) Porterfield. She was raised in Oregon and later moved to California. She went on to marry the love of her life Doyle Ray Daugherty, on Dec. 19, 1970, in Las Vegas, NV. Once married, they began planting their roots in Illinois.

WILMINGTON—Margaret M. Davis, passed away at the age of 76, on Feb. 5, 2025, at Ascension St. Mary Hospital in Kankakee. She was born on June 22, 1948, to the late Chester E. and Genevieve M. (nee Fuhrmann) Onderisin and lived in the Joliet area until she moved to Wilmington in 2019 to be with her daughter's family. Margaret enjoyed crafting and cooking big meals for holiday celebrations with her family.

MEXICO, MISSOURI—Rosemary A. West, 84, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away Feb. 4, 2025 at Monroe Manor in Paris, MO.
Rosemary was born Nov. 24, 1940 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Joseph and Tiss Lively.
She was a loving mother of three boys and a devoted housewife, she could be heard as the boys’ biggest fan at wrestling meets. She enjoyed line dancing, playing cards, gardening flowers and gathering with friends. Rosemary adored her grandchildren and always provided support and love for her family. She was also a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.

LOCKPORT—Jay Alan Ransom, 66, of Lockport, IL formerly of Coal City, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on March 15, 1958 in Morris, IL to Lavina (nee Hougas) Ransom. He grew up in the Coal City area, attending Coal City High School with the class of 1976. He served his country with the Military Police (SP4) in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1979.
