ROSEVILLE, CA—Judith Ann Chesser, 55, of Roseville, CA, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2020 at her home.
Born on November 6, 1964 in Belleville, IL, Judith Ann was the seventh of eight daughters born to Carl Eugene and Jessie Louise (nee Woodson) Chesser.
Judy was raised in Wilmington, completed her Associates Degree in the Arts in 1984 from Joliet Junior College, and her passion for sports and kids provided for a lifelong career in education and coaching.

WILMINGTON—Jeff P. Jones, 59, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born Dec. 29, 1960 in Joliet, Jeffery Paul was a son of Charlotte (nee Harding) Jones and Harry T. Jones. He was raised in Wilmington; attended St. Rose Parochial School and graduated from Wilmington High School with the class of 1980.

BRAIDWOOD—Carroll E. Simpson, 77, of Braidwood, passed away at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He was born Feb. 13, 1942 in Fairfield, IL.
Carroll was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 597 Union for over 45 years. After retirement he enjoyed his tractors, tractor shows and auctions. Carroll loved his family and his dog, Maggie.

WILMINGTON—Holly Amanda Zykwa, 77, of Wilmington, formerly of Alsip, IL, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Morris Hospital.
Born Dec. 3, 1942 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Harold and Helen (nee Kwiatkowski) Minster. Holly was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. She formerly worked for R.W. Whittington in Alsip for many years and also volunteered for the non-profit organization United Way for 25 years. She also was a manager for Wal-Mart in Bridgeview, IL.

WILMINGTON—Leonard Abeln, 79, of Wilmington, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and loyal friend to many. His steady, cheerful presence at family and social gatherings will be missed.
He was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Breese, IL, the son of Leo J. Abeln and Lucille M. (Schulte) Abeln.

COAL CITY— Tara Trammel, 32, of Coal City, and formerly of Clearwater Beach, FL and Lockport, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Born January 5, 1988 in Joliet, Tara was a daughter of Mark Carpenter, of Lockport, and the late Nellann Bales. She was raised in Lockport and attended Lockport Township High School before entering into the United States Army Reserves. Tara worked as a CNA in home healthcare, and enjoyed coaching both cheerleading and gymnastics. She loved being a mother, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with her son, Reid.

MAZON— Robert D. Wilkinson, 92, of Mazon, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at his home.
Born April 5, 1927, Robert Donald was a son of Joseph and Olive Baker-Wilkinson. He was raised and educated in Mazon, and graduated from Mazon-Verona-Kinsman High School. On March 8, 1947, Bob married Marie Burkhart, and together they traveled half around the world while Bob served in the military.

MORRIS—Sharon Louise Gilbertson, 80, a lifelong resident of Morris, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Morris Hospital.
Born in Morris on May 5, 1939, Sharon was the daughter of Joseph Andrew and Mary Adele (Sarti) Gusta. She attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1957. On June 19, 1960, Sharon married Roger Gilbertson in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and together they made their home and raised their family in Morris.
