As Gov. JB Pritzker’s stay-at-home order expired last week, businesses around Wilmington opened their doors, many for the first time in more than two months. The end of the order came as Illinois entered into Phase 3 of the governor’s Restore Illinois plan, a five-step plan designed to move the state forward during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But before those Wilmington businesses opened up, the members of the Wilmington City Council met for a special meeting on May 28, to establish some rules for bars and restaurants anxious to welcome customers back.
