Coaler football got a peek at its future this week, when a youth camp was held for prospective players.
The camp runs from Monday to Friday, with the campers attending from 10 a.m. to noon.
“We have about 40 kids here, and it has gone well,” said Coal City coach Dan Hutchings. “Our main focus is to get the kids enthusiastic about football, while also encouraging them to play other sports. Football will help you in other sports, and this camp will get them a little prepped for their seasons with the Miners starting in two weeks.”
