A resident of Braidwood's Lighthouse Cove subdivision died over the weekend after falling through the ice in Shadow Lakes.
On Saturday, Jan. 19, Braidwood Fire Chief Ken Heberer reported that the body of an adult male was recovered from one of the waterways in Shadow Lakes just after 11 a.m. A call for assistance to the area had been made around 9:54 a.m. regarding an ice fisherman who had fallen through the ice.
