BRAIDWOOD-Forrest Arbuckle, 85, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL.
Born April 22, 1927 in Jefferson County, IN to the late Forrest and Beulah (nee Hanolin) Arbuckle. Forrest retired from the Carpenters Union, Local #174 in Joliet, IL. Veteran of the United States Marines, serving during the Korean Conflict. Member of the United Methodist Church in Essex, IL, Braidwood Senior Citizens, American Legion Post #294 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #967, both in Morris, IL, and VFW Post #188 in Duquoin, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda (nee Haynie), whom he married March 17, 1990 in Essex; one daughter, Deborah (Glen) Macdonald of Calahoo, Alberta, Canada; step-son, Bruce Armstrong of Essex; step-daughters, Shari Walker of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Janett Conner of Beecher, IL; three grandchildren, Lawrence Painter, Christopher Painter, and Danielle (Edward) Rasmussen; three brothers, Marvin (Jewell) Arbuckle of Lexington, IN, Lester (Francais) Arbuckle of Columbus, IN, and Maurice (Carolyn) Arbuckle of Catlin, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was one son, Darrold Edward Arbuckle; one brother, Ivan Arbuckle; and one sister Betty Lou Arbuckle.
Funeral services will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Ltd. & Crematory, Braidwood Chapel, Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. Pastor Jennifer Seder and Pastor Terry Roston will officiate.
Interment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery in Braceville, IL.
The visitation will be Sunday, March 10, from 2-5 p.m.
