Record breaking spring rains and a fall tornado made 2013 an exceptional year for the village of Diamond and is neighboring communities.
To recognize the progress that's been made since November 17 when a tornado cut a path through the village, the Diamond Civic Club is sponsoring a two day event to celebrate the community's progress.
The celebration will begin Thursday, June 26 when the Carson and Barnes Circus comes to town for two shows.

The big top will be set up in the lot west of Diamond Banquet Hall at Division and Daley streets.
