IDOT plans longer double track to ease congestion
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will move forward in a matter of weeks on plans to add a siding north of Main Street in Braidwood, as part of the federal High Speed Rail (HSR) transportation project. But a meeting held last week was much different from one held in October 2011, when dozens of angry Braidwood residents showed up to shout down IDOT officials and their ideas on the plan.
