'It's closer than we realize'
On Monday, May 2, the Reed-Custer District Auditorium will be the site of the HEAR Us forum for drug awareness. HEAR Us stands for Heroin/Opiate Education, Awareness and Remembrance... United we Stand, and is an effort by community leaders and local residents to raise the level of awareness in the community regarding heroin use and abuse.

Benefit to welcome Blake home
For one night, Blake Shirey will have a chance to forget the painful misery of the last two months, and just do something normal. His family is organizing a welcome home benefit for the 12-year-old on Saturday, April 30. A fire forced a change of venue for the event, but it will go on as planned.
