Unit 1 returns to in-person meetings

The Unit 1 Board of Education has been meeting in-person, however any public participation of the sessions had to be on-line to avoid capacity limits.
Now that COVID-19 restrictions have been loosened, up to 25 people are allowed within a space, thus the board is opening its meetings to spectators starting with today’s [Jan. 27] board study session.
The next regular meeting of the board scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 3 will also be opened to the public for in-person attendance. The board’s regular and study session meetings begin at 6 p.m. in the district’s administration center, 550 S. Carbon Hill Rd., Coal City.
