Temple N. Leasure

WILMINGTON—Temple N. Leasure (Nee Willis), 101, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Aperion Care of Wilmington.
Born Jan. 8, 1918 in Streator, Temple Nadine was a daughter of Aaron and Myrtle (nee Davis) Willis. On Sept. 12, 1934 she married Leslie N. Leasure in Morris, and together they made their home in Ritchie. Temple was a past member of the Nazarene Church of Wilmington, and she devoted her life to homemaking and raising her family. She loved flowers and caring for them at her home. Temple was an avid reader, and enjoyed drawing and puzzles.
Survivors include two sons: Everett Leasure, of Joliet and Kenneth Leasure, of Ritchie; seven grandchildren: Everett (Shantel) Leasure, Kelli (Dan) Campbell, Eric (Tina) Leasure, Anthony (Carin) Leasure, Lynette Leasure, Michelle Leasure and Leslie Leasure, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Temple was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie Leasure; three children: Leslie Eck Leasure, Trudy Gay Leasure and one daughter in infancy; one daughter-in-law, Lynda Leasure; one grandson, David Leasure and three siblings: Jack Willis, Coy Willis and Gracie Carroll.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd., in Wilmington from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Pastor Bill Luttrell will officiate, and burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery.
