Ronald Albert

DIAMOND—Ronald Albert, 77, of Diamond, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022 at Heritage Manor in Dwight.
Born March 15, 1945 in Odell, he was the son of Clarence and Edna (nee Birkner) Albert. He proudly served in the United States Army and was then employed as a time keeper at Caterpillar Tractor, Co. in Joliet. On July 14, 1990 in Union Hill he married Patricia Cobb. Ron was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Albert; children: Dawn Metzen, Joe (Sherry) Matney, Carl (Kathy) Matney, Dave (Tracy) Warner and Randy (Lisa) Warner; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, siblings: Ted Albert, Clayton Albert, Douglas Albert, Patricia Foley, Bonnie Hall and Beatrice Albert.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Family and friends are welcome to gather in the parking lot of R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. to go in procession to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood for committal services.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
