Phyllis Stott

MORRIS—Phyllis Stott (nee Lane), 83, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at her home.
Born Sept. 1, 1938 in Marseilles, IL, Phyllis Marie was a daughter of George and Genevieve (nee Haff) Lane. She was raised and educated in Marseilles and graduated from Marseilles High School with the class of 1956. On Dec. 5, 1959, Phyllis married Thomas Stott in Marseilles, and together they made a home and raised their family. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to car shows, but her most beloved memories were those made with family. Phyllis made her family her number one priority; loved her husband and children dearly, and cherished being a grandma and great-grandma.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Tom “Butch” Stott, of Morris; three children: Thomas (Teresa) Stott, Kathy Hoge and Tracy (Cathy) Stott, all of Morris; six grandchildren: Rebecca (Kevin) Parini, Robert (Nisse) Hoge, Jacob (Hilary) Stott, Jessica Stott, Tiffany (James) Hogan and Tania Stott; six great-grandchildren: Violet, Daisy and Olive Hoge and Osker Metes, Andrew Parini and Hawk Stott; one brother, Kenneth (Barb) Lane, of Marseilles and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and her son-in-law, James Hoge.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 E. Washington St., one block east of IL Route 47, in Morris on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Pastor Steve Larson will officiate, and burial will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Phyllis' memory to her family for their distribution.
