Paul V. Kratochvil

NEW LENOX—Paul V. Kratochvil (“Stokes”), 79, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, in New Lenox, IL.
Paul was born Oct. 6, 1940 in Chicago to John and Bernice (Laskey) Kratochvil. On Oct. 23, 1963 he married the love of his life, Jeaninne Filip in Minneapolis, MN. Paul was a member of the Suburban Teamsters of Northern Illinois. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for over 50 years providing for his wife and children until he retired in 2015 from Cardinal Transport. He enjoyed family gatherings, talking with people, boat rides on the river, camping with the grandkids, visiting friends in Florida and going to auctions and antique shops. Paul was a considerate and gentle man with a heart of gold, helping anyone in need. He always had a special place in his heart for animals. He especially loved his dogs, which he either took in from others or frequented the local Will County Humane Society looking for his next furever friend. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as a loving husband who took care of his wife endlessly. Forever with us all until we meet again.
