Norma Sarnowski

BRAIDWOOD—Norma “Caroll” Sarnowski, 60, of Braidwood, formerly of Wilmington and Springfield, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the University of Chicago Bernard Mitchell Hospital in Chicago.
Born March 29, 1960 in Lawrenceville, IL, Caroll was a daughter of Asberry and Nancy A. (Mansfield) Brown Jr. She was raised in Wilmington and attended Wilmington Schools. On Sept. 19, 1992, Caroll married Stephen James Sarnowski in the backyard of their home. In her spare time, Caroll enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; three children: Kayla (Shaun) Vineyard, of Channahon and Michael and Tamura Sarnowski, both of Braidwood; her step-daughter, Megan Sarnowski; four grandchildren: Jordan Peddicord and Irelynn, Becky and Vinny Vineyard; one sister, Colleen Miller; three sisters-in-law: Cammy (Paul) Buncak, of Willow Springs; Lori (Jeff) Mirowski, of Cicero and Jen Brown, of Kincaid; her loving aunt, Natalee Anderson and several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins, as well as her best friends, Marcia Manegold and Gail Alksnis.
Caroll was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Charlene (Bill) DeBoard, Marvin Brown, Mark Brown and Wade (Mary) Brown and one sister-in-law, Katy (Jim) Law.
Green flameless cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will be planned for a later date.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Caroll’s memory to her family for their distribution.
