Noreen Brandle
BRAIDWOOD—Noreen June Brandle, 78, of Braidwood passed away, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born Jan. 20, 1943 in Chicago. Noreen was a former member of the Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church in Braidwood. She was very active within the church and enjoyed helping as a secretary. She also helped the First Presbyterian Church in Braidwood with treasurer duties, where she also attended bible study. Noreen currently attended the Trinity Lutheran Goodfarm Church in Dwight.
If you knew Noreen, you knew she had a heart of gold and loved volunteering. She spent many hours helping at the Braidwood Food Pantry and was the director for many years. She also served on the accountability board for the Braidwood Police Department. Noreen owned and operated Omnibus in town, which she was extremely proud of and enjoyed helping her customers find the perfect card or gift for any special occasion.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Frank E. Brandle, who she married Jan. 23, 1960 in Northlake, IL; three sons: Frank Brandle, of Carol Stream, IL; Steve Brandle, of Hanover Park, IL and Ron (Jill) Brandle, of Glendale Heights, IL; 10 grandchildren: Frank Jr. (Ashley), Cody, Steven, Jason, Lauren (Matt), Allison (Doug), Ronnie, Zach, Kasey and Jessi; one great-grandson, Hunter; one sister, Pat (Frank) Bobnick, of Casa Grande, AZ; one brother, Bill Orlove and other siblings: Jackie, Jill, Dale, Danny and Tim; numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and June Orlove.
Visitation for Noreen will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, 401 E. Main St., Braidwood, Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 4-9 p.m. Funeral services will also be at the funeral home, Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 12 p.m. with visitation one hour preceding services. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Goodfarm Church or the Braidwood Food Pantry.
