Mildred Overland

SHADOW LAKES—Mildred Roberta (Scholinsky) Overland, of Shadow Lakes, passed away peacefully at her home on March 1, 2025 with her family by her side.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1936 to William and Mary Scholinsky, of Chicago. She was married to her husband, Roy Overland for 63 years. They were residents of Shadow Lakes for 30 years and had many friends within the community. Millie will be truly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Leroy (Barb) Overland; Patricia (George) Lane and Edwin (Jan) Overland; grandchildren Christopher (Sarah) Overland, Justin (Eliana) Overland, Patrick Lane and Michael (Jacki) Lane; great-granddaughters: Olivia, Leah and Ava Mae Overland and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her siblings: Dorothy, Virginia, Lorraine and William.
As Roy passed away in 2020 during Covid and a memorial service could not be planned, the family is planning a combined memorial service for them both to be held at Shadow lakes Community Center later this spring.
