Marion L. Pollack

WILMINGTON— Marion L. Pollack, age 87, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 23, 2017 at Silver Cross Medical Center in New Lenox.
Born Aug. 20, 1930 in Joliet, Marion Lorinne was a daughter of Loren and Zelda (Jardine) Carver. She was raised in Wilmington and graduated from the Wilmington Public Schools in 1948. On April 8, 1950, Marion married her high school sweetheart, William M. Pollack in the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington.
Together Marion and Bill worked together dairy farming and grain farming until retirement. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington; enjoyed traveling in recent years with Bill, and will be remembered for her enjoyment of cooking and baking.
Survivors include three children: Dr. William M. Pollack of Deerfield, David (Teresa) Pollack of Wilmington and JoAn (Michael) Ayorinde of Shorewood; five grandchildren: William M. (Gwen) Pollack, III of Clearwater, Florida, Laurice (William) Strope of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, Brittany Pollack of Wilmington, Elizabeth Pollack of Urbana, Illinois and Christopher Pollack of Chicago; four great grandchildren: Ashton, Aidan, Logan and Oliver; her sister-in-law LaVonne (the late Edward) Pollack of Wilmington and several nieces and nephews, including: Jim Stollard, Jeff (Lisa) Stollard, Tina (Darrell) Dudzik, Martin (September) Pollack, Karry Carver and Mark Carver, as well as her cousin Billy Blackburn of England.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Diane in infancy; husband William on April 30, 2016; brother George (Lucille) Carver, and sister Doris (James) Stollard.
Visitation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 301 North Kankakee Street in Wilmington on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 2:00 p.m. Reverend Winn Alley will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington, where Marion will be laid to rest with her husband Bill.
