Lynn M. Letterly

COAL CITY—Lynne M. Letterly, 75, of Coal City passed away peacefully on Aug., 2, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
She was born on Jan. 12, 1945 in Joliet to William and Ruth (nee Becker) Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Reed-Custer High School with the class of 1963. Lynne married Doug Letterly on Feb. 15, 1964 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Braidwood. She worked as a loan officer for 20 years at Morris Building and Loan. Lynne was a devoted mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed shopping with her sister-in-law, Sharon and her weekly meetings with the “Tea Ladies.”
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Doug; her sons, Robert (Wendy) Letterly, of Mendota and Joel Letterly, of Coal City; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Aja) and Mike Letterly and Brittany Montavon; her great-grandchildren, Luca and Malia Letterly and her brothers, Larry (the late Katie) Fitzpatrick, of New Jersey and William “B.J.” (Sheryl) Fitzpatrick, Jack (Sharon) Fitzpatrick, Michael (Jeanette) Fitpatrick, and Tim (Patti) Fitzpatrick, all of Braidwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Fitzpatrick, and her brother, Patrick Fitzpatrick.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 245 S. Kankakee St., Coal City with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating. Inurnment will follow at Braceville- Gardner Cemetery.
