Luis Cornelio

WILMINGTON—Luis Cornelio "Louie", 39, of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Morris Hospital.
Born March 26, 1979 in Libertyville, Luis is a son of Carol (nee O’Leary) and the late Domingo Cornelio. He attended Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, and graduated with the Class of 1997. Luis was a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union 174, and was working most recently for BP Whiting Refinery in Whiting, IN.
Louie was a member of The Devils Diciples Motorcycle Club – Godley Chapter, and took great pleasure in long rides on his Harley. He enjoyed camping, and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.
Survivors include his mother: Carol Cornelio of Wilmington; three siblings: Alexius (Aimee) Cornelio of Madison, WI, David Cornelio of Wilmington, and Jamie Cornelio of Plainfield; nieces and nephew: Brittany Jennings, Alexi Cornelio, Nathan Cornelio and Skylar Cornelio; one great nephew: Andrew Jennings, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his beloved canine companion: Angel.
Luis was preceded in death by his father Domingo “Mingo” Cornelio; as well as his grandparents.
Visitation and video tribute will be Sunday, July 15, 2018 from noon until the time of funeral service at 3 p.m., at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral services, and inurnment will be private.
