Lorene Deterding-Ayers

BRAIDWOOD— Lorene “Lori” Deterding-Ayers, 53, of Braidwood, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Morris Hospital in Morris. Born Oct.. 23, 1967 in Joliet, to the late Larry and Carol Ann (nee Vaira) Deterding. She graduated from Reed-Custer High School and previously drove a school bus for the 255U school district. Member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. Lori loved playing games on her iPad and also enjoyed bird watching. She had a love for dogs, especially her three, Snooky, Gizmo, and Beauty.
Surviving are her husband of twenty-one years, Robert C. Ayers, Sr., whom she married December 10, 1999 in Joliet, IL; son, Bobby Ayers, Jr. of Braidwood; brother, Larry Deterding of Dwight, IL; sister-in-law, Tracy Deterding; two nephews, Mitchell and Kyle Deterding; and one niece, Kelly Deterding.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorial visitation for Lori will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 12:00 p.m. Deacon Greg Cummings will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Braidwood.
