Judith A. Lissy

COAL CITY—Judith A. Lissy (nee Taylor), 67, of Coal City, passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home.
Born Sept. 10, 1952 in Morris, Judith Ann was the daughter of John "Bud" and Betty (nee Scaman) Taylor. She was raised and educated in Coal City and attended Coal City schools. Judy was employed by DeMert and Dougherty in Coal City for several years, and later worked cleaning homes. She was a dedicated, hard worker that always took pride in whatever work she did. Judy was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 967 in Morris, and her social nature made her stand out at any gathering or event she would attend.
Judy loved spending time with family 5
and friends, and was always up for a game of bags or horseshoes. She was also fond of all kinds of flowers, and made sure her house was always decorated for any holiday or special occasion, especially Christmas which was her favorite. Judy had a special place in her heart for animals, including her two Boston Terriers, Bear and Peanut.
Survivors include her three sons: Mike Phillips, of Cape Canaveral, FL; Scott (Lydia) Phillips, of Goose Lake and Tony Phillips of Camdenton, MO; seven grandchildren: Brandon, Jake and Hannah Phillips; Tyler (Cara) Wilson and Trevor Wilson, Takoda DeMarse, Michael Ruhl and Ali Rodgers; one great-granddaughter, Addisyn Phillips; one aunt, Yvonne (Robert) Kilpatrick, of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, James (Jeanne) Taylor, of Morris and Rick (Belinda) Taylor, of Coal City as well as several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and private memorial services were held.
