John A. Susin

NAPERVILLE—John Angelo Susin, 89, of Naperville, IL, formerly of Wilmington, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at Edward Hospital in Naperville.             He was born Dec. 24, 1928 in West Frankfort, IL to his loving parents, Giovanni and Julie (nee Sesock) Susin. He was married to his cherished wife, Juanita Susin, nee Plantec, for 67 years.  
John served in the United States Army, 6th Infantry Army of Occupation force in Japan and Korea following World War II. He later worked as a carpenter and a millwright building many homes and helping friends with remodeling projects. He enjoyed boating on the Kankakee River, playing guitar, and shooting pool. 
Beloved father of Shale Susin (Lisa, nee Friddle) of Naperville, IL.  Dearest grandfather of Allison and Emma Susin.  Brother of Annabel and the late Victor Susin.
All services are private. Future inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
