Hallelujah soup supper, bake sale

    Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road, will host a  Hallelujah soup supper and cookie sale on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m.
    The meal will include a choice of homemade chili or turkey and rice soup, a sandwich, crackers, a beverage, ice cream and dessert.
    The cost will be $8 for adults and children 13 and older; $4 for children ages 6 to 12; and $2 for children ages 3 to 5. Children 2 and under will eat free.
    Carry-outs will be available. All proceeds will go to the church’s building fund. Tickets will be sold at the door.
    The Sunshine Circle will hold its annual cookie sale during the soup supper. Home baked cookies ready for gift giving will be $7 per container.
