Grundy County buildings re-open with Phase 4

Grundy County’s administration, highway and animal control buildings will re-open to the public next week. During the recent COVID-19 restrictions, county services have been provided remotely.

With the transition to Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, the county’s administration, highway and animal control facilities will resume normal hours of operation for in-person service on Monday, June 29. The doors will be open for walk-in service, through appointments are strongly recommended. To protect its at-risk clients, appointments are required for the offices of public health, veterans affairs and Regional Office of Education.

For the protection of at-risk visitors, temporary visitor guidelines are in place and include wearing a face mask of covering while in the building, social separation, call ahead to schedule an appointment and if you have a fever, cough or shortness of breath do not enter the building.
