Gerald Baskerville

ANDERSON, SC—Gerald R. Baskerville, 84, of Anderson, South Carolina passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2018.
A native of Symerton, Illinois, Gerald was a son of Raymond and Margaret (Van Duyne) Baskerville. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and went on to graduate from Illinois State University where he met his wife of 49 years, Evelyn (nee Mill). Together they lived in Coal City, Illinois before relocating to Moline, where Jerry was employed as a Quality Control Specialist for the Department of Defense at the Rock Island Arsenal.  
In 1989, Jerry and Evelyn retired to Anderson, South Carolina where he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with wonderful neighbors and new friends.
Survivors include his son, Eric Baskerville of Piedmont, South Carolina; sister, Helen B. (Dr. Louis) Wilhelmi of Augusta, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife Evelyn in 2010 and brother Robert (Millie) Baskerville.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anderson, South Carolina. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, where Jerry will be laid to rest with his wife Evelyn.
