Darryl DeLong

GODLEY—Darryl Lee DeLong, 31, of Godley, passed away suddenly Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
He was born Aug. 20, 1988 in Morris. He graduated from Reed-Custer High School with the class of 2008 and worked for Bill Landers in property maintenance. Darryl was an artist and used many different techniques to create his works of art. He also enjoyed music and more importantly loved his three children and nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his mother, Dianna Gomez, of Godley; three children: Catalina Bowie, Kathleen and Everette Brainard, all of Godley; fiancé, Georgieanna Brainard, of Godley; two sisters, Natasha West, of Beecher, IL and Amber DeLong, of Godley; maternal grandmother, Donna West and nieces and nephews: Michael Lopez, Halee Wallen, Kasey Koller, June Singler, Eveonna Guch and MarQuiesha Brown.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial visitation for Darryl will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, Braidwood, Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020 from 12-3 p.m. with the memorial service beginning at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family would be appreciated.
