Daniel W. Sitar

WILMINGTON—Daniel W. Sitar “Brother D,” 67, of Wilmington passed away unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident in Apache Junction, AZ on April 9, 2022.
He was born Oct. 26, 1954, in Joliet, the son of Anthony Sitar Sr. and Evelyn Sitar (Schmitz). Danny graduated from Joliet East High School. He retired from Joliet Iron Workers Local 444 after many years of service. Danny loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was an original Kankakee RiverRat who enjoyed boating, fishing, playing pool, watching boat races and NASCAR. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and would help anyone in need. Danny was referred as an American Bad Ass.
He is survived by his sisters, Sally Sitar (Ray Sperkwich), of Wilmington and Penny Vanderhyden, of Elwood; two brothers, Tony Jr. (Cindy) Sitar, of Marseilles and Tommy Sitar; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and longtime friend, Ed Regganie.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Valerie Lewis; his parents, Tony Sr. and Ev Sitar; two siblings, Sandy Burns and Rich Sitar.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Family will receive friends for a Celebration of his life June 25, 2022, at Top Fuel Saloon, Braidwood from 1-4 p.m. A memorial run in “Brother D'” and Val's name will begin at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. departing from Top Fuel Saloon.
Brother, you went away so suddenly no time to say good-bye, but brothers can't be parted because precious memories never die.
