Christopher Kavanaugh

FLORIDA—Christopher S. Kavanaugh, 47, passed away on Aug. 21, 2021 at Melbourne Regional Hospital in Florida due to Covid.
He was born July 3, 1974 in Joliet. He married Rachelle Maquiniana in February 2019 in the Philippines and she joined him in the United States on July 4, 2021. Chris opened his business, Dockside Marine Inc., in 2002. He also owned CK Transporting Inc. business in 2014.
Chris is survived by his parents, Diane and Tim Thomas, of Palm Bay, FL and Kevin and Dawna Kavanaugh of Wilmington and Grandfather, Jack (Louise) DeWalt, of Palm Bay, FL; siblings: Amber (Shawn) Ingram, children, Alexia and Bradley, of Portland, TN; Jeana (Maickon) Carrico, children, Aislynn and Logan, of Wilmington; Chad (Shelby) Kavanaugh, children Conner and Corvin, of Loudon, TN and Lora Kavanaugh, of Tacoma, WA.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen DeWalt, Norma Jean and George Kavanaugh.
A celebration of Chris' life will be held at a later date this year.
