Braidwood Christmas Closures

Braidwood city hall and the administrative office of the Braidwood Police Department will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, for Christmas, as well as Tuesday, Dec. 31, for New Year’s Eve and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day.
The administrative office of the Reed-Custer Community Unit School District 255U closed at the end of the school day Friday, Dec. 20. Students, faculty and administrators will be out on winter break through the first of the year with students returning to class on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Faculty and staff return Jan. 6 for an in-service day.
Fossil Ridge Public Library will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The library will observe regular hours between the holidays.
The Braidwood Post Office’s retail counter will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with regular mail service on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and will be closed on Christmas Day. The post office will observe its regular schedule New Year’s Eve but is closed New Year’s Day. There will also be no package delivery on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Will County offices will be closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The Free Press Newspapers office will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26. The office will be closed New Year’s Day and reopen at the regular time on Thursday, Jan. 2.
