WATSEKA— Bobbi Jo Blomlie, 37, of Watseka, IL and formerly of Kankakee, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023
Born Aug.13, 1985 in Oak Lawn, IL, Bobbi Jo was a daughter of Loretta (Gunn) Talley and Charles Blomlie, Sr. She was raised in the Kankakee area and worked as a private caregiver. Bobbi enjoyed everything summer and took pleasure in boating and jet skiing. She loved taking her kids to the theme and amusement parks and was always up for checking out a garage sale. Bobbi enjoyed music, social media and cooking, and was great with technology and on computers.
Survivors include her parents: Loretta (Dale) Talley of Watseka and Charles (Barb) Blomlie of Wilmington; the father of her children, Anthony Varvell, and their five children: Bryce Varvell, Aiden Varvell, Brody Varvell, Gianna Blomlie and Zander Varvell; siblings: April (Hilario) Martinez of Aroma Park, IL, Charles Blomlie, Jr. of Kankakee and Crystal Blomlie of Arkansas; nieces and nephews: Zacarias, Javier, Elizabeth, Alyssa, Mercedes, Destinee, Diamond and Isaac, and several aunts and uncles.
Bobbi was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; two uncles, Jim Cochran, Jr. and Larry Blomlie, and one aunt, Linda Clark.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, 12:00 p.m. Pastor Joe Hughes from Centennial Christian Church in Watseka will officiate.
Those wishing to participate in the services virtually are welcome to join the live stream beginning at 12:00 noon on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 or watch on demand after the conclusion of the services. A link is provided on Bobbi’s memorial page.
Burial will follow in Aroma Park Cemetery.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Bobbi’s memory to her family for their distribution to the benefit of her children.
