Bob Bodell

BOLINGBROOK—Bob Bodell, 43, of Bolingbrook, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Aug. 31, 2017.
Born Dec. 3, 1973 in Berwyn, Robert Michael was a son of Leonard Frank “Butch” Bodell Sr. and Mary (Brady) Bodell. He was raised in Chicago and graduated from St. Rita High School with the class of 1992.
Bob worked as a laborer in concrete construction, and coached baseball. He will be remembered for his love of playing softball, fishing, and cars.
Survivors include his father, Butch Bodell Sr., of Wilmington; children: Chris Bodell, of Yorkville; Katie Bodell, of New Lenox and David Underdonk and Joey Bodell, both of Bolingbrook; his former companion and the mother of David and Joey, Trina Underdonk, of Bolingbrook; brother and sisters: Brenda Tagler, of Oak Lawn: Leonard Jr. “Butch” (Donna) Bodell, of Plainfield and his twin, Barbara (Richard) Clemens, of Chicago; nieces and nephews: Dominick Tagler, Ryan Clemens, Justin Bodell, Sean Clemens, Jeremy Bodell, Claire Clemens and Gregory Tagler, and several aunts and uncles.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother on Dec. 22, 2016.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington. Rev. Dr. Roy Backus officiated, and cremation rites were accorded following the services.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bob’s memory to his family for their distribution.
