The Coal City girls soccer concluded its season with a 4-0 loss to Peotone in the Braidwood regional semifinal game on Tuesday.
Peotone came out firing with one in the first and three in the second half to win the game.
Despite the loss, Melody Hamerla did her part in goal as she stopped nine.
It’s not easy when teams have to play a stacked team like Peotone. Coal City had previously beat the Devils twice with a 4-3 win in the Coaler shootout and 1-0 before that. It’s hard to beat a team three times in a row.
