Delia Tenn Fisk passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2025 in Kaleida, OH. She was born on Dec. 20, 1949 in Joliet and was raised in Braidwood. She will be forever remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength to those who had the blessing of knowing her.

WILMINGTON-Barbara Kaitschuck, 88 of Wilmington, formerly of Mesa, AZ Passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025 at Aperion Care in Wilmington.
Born Dec. 4, 1937 in Joliet, Barbara Ann was the daughter of Matthew and Catherine (Zyla) Stariha. She was raised and educated in Joliet, and held several jobs over the years while also raising her three sons. Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo, but she found the most joy when she was with her family. She was proud of her children and loved being a grandmother to four grandchildren and their families.

JOLIET— John J. “Cheese” Sowa, 52 of Joliet, passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 at Franciscan Health in Crown Point, IN.
Born Sept. 20, 1973 in Joliet, John was a son of Sandra and John Sowa, and Ronald Bockstahler. He was raised and educated in Joliet and attended Joliet Junior College. John worked as a welder for several years, and later worked for TTX Railroad. In later years, he worked for several other companies, expanding his horizons, to build his skill set and utilize his talents to restore homes.

BOURBONNAIS—Edwin P. “Ed” Viglia Jr., 82, of Bourbonnais, passed away Nov. 29, 2025 in Bourbonnais.
He was born Nov. 19, 1943 in Joliet, the son of Edwin P. Sr. and Margaret Brancato Viglia. He married Susan M. Kemp on Aug. 11, 1989. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2020, after nearly 40 years of marriage.

PLAINFIELD—Thomas James Ruddy, 82, of Plainfield and formerly of Goose Lake, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025 at Alden Estates of Naperville.
Born Dec. 30, 1942, in Joliet, Thomas was the son of James Joseph and Mary Louise (O’Neill) Ruddy. He was raised in Joliet, attended St. Patrick’s Grade School, and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the class of 1960. Following high school, Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge in 1966.

Stanley Long

WILMINGTON—Stanley Long, 91, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at his home.
Born Feb. 24, 1934 in Bennett, NE, Stanley Bruce was a son of Charles and Elsie (Gee) Long. He was raised in Nebraska and graduated from high school in Beaver, OK. Following high school, Stanley served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1957. On Feb. 22, 1958, he married Sandra Sue Kranz and together they shared 52 years of marriage until her passing in 2010.
