MORRIS—Barbara Jean Farrero, 97, of Morris, formerly of Coal City, passed away on June 7, 2026, at Serenity Estates in Morris surrounded by family.
Born on Sept. 19, 1928, in Morris, Barbara Jean was the daughter of Lillian Gilbertson. She was raised and educated in both Coal City and Morris and attended Coal City High School. On Nov. 23, 1949, Barbara married the love of her life, John “Rip” Farrero, in the rectory of Assumption Catholic Church. Together, they shared a loving marriage and built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and enduring devotion.

DWIGHT—Mary Hairald, 78, of Dwight and formerly of Wilmington, passed away Thursday morning, June 4, 2026, at Morris Hospital in Morris.
Born on Feb. 11, 1948, in Joliet, Mary was the daughter of Melvin Allen and Josephine Elsie (Swartz) Friddle. She attended local schools and remained deeply connected to the communities she called home throughout her life.

COAL CITY — Peter J. Giaudrone Jr., 89 years, of Coal City, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Arc of Dwight.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1936 in Morris, to Peter J. and Marie I. (nee Wendell) Giaudrone. He was raised in old Eileen, graduating from Coal City High School class of 1954. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1960 to 1966. Pete married Donna Jean Zeller on Feb. 13, 1960. Together they raised two children.

GARDNER—Constance "Connie" Rena Storm (née Ferrari), 90, of Gardner, passed away May 30, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was reunited with her late husband, Robert, whom she missed dearly.
Connie was born Feb. 16, 1936, to Fred and Angela Ferrari. She was born and raised at the family home in East Brooklyn, IL. She graduated Gardner-South Wilmington High School class of 1954.
